River Ridge (WA) Boys, Wellspring Prep (MI) Girls End Season on Top of National RankingsEUGENE, Ore. (June 20, 2018) - While conference, state and national titles generally define the very best track and field programs, Brooks and Athletic.net looked to redefine success during the 2017-18 season, launching the Brooks PR Score. The Brooks PR Score puts teams of all abilities, across the country, on a level playing field, scoring an entire team’s ability to improve throughout the season. Using Athletic.net’s team management platform and comprehensive database, the program’s algorithm put an emphasis on every athlete’s rate of improvement throughout the season. With more than 3,000 teams participating, and more than 150,000 athletes focused on improving their PRs and helping their team scores, the inaugural season exceeded expectations across the board, as the boys team at River Ridge High School (WA) and the girls team at Wellspring Prep High School (MI) claimed the top spots nationally. The teams at River Ridge and Wellspring Prep, as well as the other top three national teams, will receive fantastic Brooks prize packages.
