1 (1). Katelyn Tuohy, junior, North Rockland NY: She continued to lower her own course records the past two weeks, but the biggest news is that her team now looks threatening, too. NXN's news on Wednesday about at-large individuals means new options for the postseason just opened up.

2 (2). Katelynne Hart, junior, Glenbard West IL: She will get a chance to measure herself against all-time greats in Illinois when she takes off at the state meet this weekend at Detweiller Park.

3 (3). Kelsey Chmiel, senior, Saratoga Springs NY: She has raced sparingly so far this season, but the big meets are coming soon. 

4 (5). Emily Covert, senior, Washburn MN: She ran 16:56 at Gale Woods Farm to win the MHSL Section 6AA title. 

5 (6). Ericka VanderLende, senior, Rockford MI: She ran 16:43 in her regional meet and has state on Saturday.

6 (4). Claudia Lane, senior, Malibu CA: She drops a couple of spots because Covert and VanderLende have been so good while Lane continues to wait to race.

7 (7). London Culbreath, junior, McKinney TX: She ran 16:46.8 at her regional championship. State (5A) is Saturday. 

8 (10). Marlee Starliper, junior, Northern PA: She runs at state this weekend after going 17:19.7 at her district meet.

9 (9). Taylor Ewert, junior, Beavercreek OH: She ran 17:11.5 at her regional. The Ohio state meet has been postponed a week and will take place Nov. 10.

10 (8). Claire Walters, junior, Fayetteville-Manlius NY: She and her Hornets teammates aren't going to give up anything without a fight.

11 (12). Grace Connolly, senior, Natick MA: She won the Brown Northeast Invitational in 16:35.

12 (11). Tori Gaitan, junior, Great Oak CA: She was second-fastest at Mt. SAC.

13 (13). Abby VanderKooi, freshman, Muskegon Western Michigan Christian MI: Talented freshman may be racing the clock this weekend in the Michigan Division 4 final.

14 (14). Tierney Wolfgram, sophomore, Math & Science MN: She will defend her Minnesota Class A title on Saturday.

15 (15). Sydney Thorvaldson, sophomore, Rawlins WY: She ran a state meet course record Oct. 20.

16 (21). Kristin Fahy, senior, La Costa Canyon CA: She moves up after a headlining effort at the Mt. SAC Invitational.

17 (22). Sydney Masciarelli, sophomore, Marianapolis Prep CT: Running against a high quality open field at the Boston Mayor's Cup, she covered 5,000 meters in 17:04.

18 (16). Anna Martin, junior, Lehi UT: She has time to train before the NXR Southwest regional.

19 (17). Adelyn Ackley, senior, Hart MI: She ran 17:00.6 at her regional meet. The big test comes Saturday at state.

20 (18). Jenna Fitzsimmons, junior, Mountain Vista CO: She was the fastest girl of the day at the Colorado state meet.

21 (19). Abby Loveys, senior, Randolph NJ: She is the favorite to win NJ Meet of Champs.

22 (20). Corie Smith, junior Buchanan CA: She crossed the line with teammate Meagen Lowe in a 1-2 finish at the John Seamans Invitational. 

23 (24). Lexy Halladay, junior, Mountain View ID: She ran 17:08.8 for her third straight Idaho state title.

24 (23). Jaden Theis, junior, Lansing Catholic MI: She won her regional title while saving something for Saturday's state meet. 

25 (28). Brooke Rauber, sophomore, Tully NY: She won the OHSL Patriot League Championship title by a whopping three minutes. 

26 (NR). Ella Borsheim, freshman, Bellarmine Prep WA: She heads to her first Washington state meet as a title favorite after winning the Westside Classic by 45 seconds. 

27 (26). Ashlyn Hillyard, senior, Plano TX: She ran 16:38.3 at her regional meet and is the favorite in Class 6A at state. 

28 (29). Katrina Schlenker, freshman, Batavia IL: Freshman gets her first taste of the state meet on Saturday. 

29 (NR). Tiahna Vladic, senior, Billings Senior MT: She won the state title in Montana by 23 seconds.

30 (30). Emma Wilson, senior, Greencastle IN: She won her second straight title in Indiana.
