English Gardner Becomes Third Olympian to Join Princeton Coaching StaffBy Adam Kopet Princeton announced this week that English Gardner has joined the 2018-19 track and field coaching staff as a volunteer assistant. Gardner will be one of three Olympians working with the program, joining head coach Fred Samara and assistant Robby Andrews. Gardner's biggest successes on the global stage have come in the 4x100 relay. She won gold as part of Team USA at the 2016 Olympics in Rio. She has also run on silver medal 4x100 relays at the 2013 and 2015 IAAF World Outdoor Championships. Gardner also placed seventh in the Olympic 100-meter final in 2016. A native of Willingboro, N.J., Gardner is a five-time NCAA champion and is equal to the seventh-fastest woman of all-time in the 100 meters. More news |
