Puffer, Rauber, Masciarelli Impress At Pop-Up NYC Meet By Doug Binder, DyeStat Editor Allie Kieffer ran a lifetime-best 15:41.41 to demonstrate her fitness Friday and win the women's 5,000 meters at the Night Of The 5K Presented by Bakline x Trials of Miles. The 33-year-old coach and nutritionist trimmed 16 seconds off her previous 5,000 best. She beat Lindsay Crevoiserat by 35 seconds and high school stars Brooke Rauber (16:28.34) and Sydney Masciarelli (16:30.06) finished third and fourth, respectively. The event required a negative COVID test and a temperature check by all participants. The location was not published in order to avoid a crowd. In the men's B section, a pair of recent Foot Locker national finalists from Connecticut went 1-2. Matthew Farrell, 13th at last year's Foot Locker championships, ran 14:19.83 and held off high school junior Aidan Puffer, who ran 14:25.82. Puffer was 21st in last year's Foot Locker championship race. Colby Alexander of HOKA ONE ONE New Jersey New York Track Club ran a sub-four mile, clocking 3:57.86.
