The Cicero-North Syracuse boys cross country team pulled off dual meet upset over rival Liverpool, 27-30 on Wednesday at Arrowhead Lodge. Liverpool, which qualified for NXN in 2015 and is led by Ty Brownow and Stevie Schulz, entered the week ranked fifth in NY Class A. CSN was ranked 26th. CNS coach Greg Broton went into the meet knowing that his team had the depth to potentially overtake Liverpool. The race went out slow and picked up gradually each mile. With Brownlow and Schulz out in front, CNS trio Nathan Poirier, Brandon Martin and Sam Barber moved into 3-4-5 position. David Ware and John Perperian also moved well for CNS and finished 7th and 8th. Browlow won the race in 16:37.8. The fact that it was also CNS's Senior Night also made the win special. Liverpool's girls beat CNS 19-36, led by Jenna Schulz's 19:29.3 win.
