Woodhall Signs with ArkansasPublished by
Woodhall chooses Arkansas By Doug Binder, DyeStat Editor In the end, Paralympian Hunter Woodhall got to make a college choice that he felt he deserved. The double amuputee, who received very little recruiting interest in the fall after winning a pair of medals in Rio de Janeiro, picked Arkansas on Friday. He will be the first "blade runner" to compete for the Razorbacks and in the Southeastern Conference. Arkansas and Oregon both expressed interest within the past two weeks. He quickly visited both schools and made up his mind. "I'm absolutely excited about Arkansas," Woodhall said. "The whole entire feel of Arkansas (gave me) the most amazing vibes and I felt like I was part of the program. I felt comfortable and it felt like a place where I was going to succeed." Woodhall has lowered the Utah state record in the 400 meters to 46.56. He also ran a PR time of 21.52 on Thursday at the Region 2 Championships. We detailed Woodhall's college dilemma during the winter season. Fortunately, for Woodhall and Arkansas, both parties will get something special. More news |
