College and High School Cross Country Performances Lead This Week's Performance of the Week ListIt was a big week on the collegiate cross country circuit with the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational and the NCAA D1 Pre-National Invitational. At the high school level, the HOKA One One Manhattan Invitational produced a big course record-breaking run over the historic 2.5-mile Van Cortland Park course. Mason Gatewood: The high school senior from St. Anthony's NY won Eastern States Championship at the HOKA One One Manhattan Invitational by three seconds, running 12:17 for 2.5 miles. Jacqueline Gaughan: The high school senior from Exeter NH won the Brown Northeast Invitational by 44 seconds, running 16:48 for 5K. Anthony Grover: The high school sophomore from JSerra Catholic CA won the Orange County Championships by three seconds, running 14:45 for 3 miles. Haley Herberg: The high school senior from Capistrano Valley CA repeated at the Orange County Championships by eight seconds, running 17:16 for 3 miles. Justyn Knight: The Syracuse senior out-dueled Stanford's Grant Fisher to win the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational, running 23:39 for 8K. Ednah Kurgat: The New Mexico sophomore won the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational by 16 seconds, running 19:24 for 6K. Rory Linkletter: The BYU junior won the NCAA D1 Pre-National Invitational by two seconds, running 23:09. He led the Cougars to a dominating win with 41 points. Jacob McLeod: The high school senior from Trinity Christian GA won the championship race at the Coach Wood Invitational by 19 seconds, running 15:23 for 5K. Elinor Purrier: The New Hampshire senior won the NCAA D1 Pre-National Invitational in an upset over defending NCAA Cross Country champion Karissa Schweizer, running 19:29 for 6K. Katelyn Tuohy: The high school sophomore from North Rockland NY smashed the course record at the HOKA One One Manhattan Invitational by 32 seconds, running 13:21 for 2.5 miles in the Varsity C race.
