Meets at Stanford, Texas and Florida Highlight This Week's Performance of the Week ListThere were big meets and big performances across the country this week with the Stanford Invitational, Texas Relays and Florida Relays all taking place. Denzel Comenentia: The Georgia junior moved up to No. 9 on the hammer throw all-time collegiate performer list with his throw of 250-3 (76.29m) at the Texas Relays. Mondo Duplantis: The high school senior from Lafayette improved on his world U20 record in the pole vault with a third-attempt clearance of 19-5 (5.92m) to finish third in the elite section at the Texas Relays, equaling the winning height by Renaud Lavillenie and second-place Shawn Barber. Tori Franklin: The American set a big personal best in the triple jump at the Texas Relays with a winning mark of 47-6.25 (14.48m), making her the second-best performer in the U.S. all-time. Aidan Jackman: The high school senior from Clayton Valley CA ran a US#1 52.85 for the 400-meter hurdles at the Stanford Invitational. He also ran 14.03 for the 110-meter hurdles and ran a leg on Clayton Valley's victorious 4x400 relay. McKinney North TX Girls: The quartet of Brooke Givens, Elon'a Jones, Jania Martin and London Culbreath won the 1,600 sprint medley relay at the Texas Relays in 3:55.21, good for 22nd on the all-time prep list. Sydney McLaughlin: The Kentucky freshman had a strong weekend at the Florida Relays, running 22.39 for 200 meters, 50.07 for 400 meters and splitting 49.45 on the 4x400 relay. Her 400 is a world-leading mark. Nick Miller: The British hammer thrower set a world lead and British record at the Stanford Invitational with a mark of 256-10 (78.29m). Jasmine Moore: The high school junior from Mansfield Lake Ridge TX moved up to sixth on the all-time prep list in the triple jump at the Texas Relays with a wind-legal mark of 44-1 (13.43m). She also won the long jump with a leap of 20-7 (6.27m). Chris Nilsen: The South Dakota sophomore won the university elite section of the pole vault at the Texas Relays with a first-attempt clearance of 19-0.25 (5.80m), setting the collegiate lead. Allie Ostrander: The Boise State sophomore ran a world leading 9:38.57 3,000-meter steeplechase to break the meet record at the Stanford Invitational. She now stands eighth on the all-time collegiate list. More news |
